- Limit sugar consumption such as cookies, pastries, etc
- Limit refined carbohydrate consumption such white bread, cakes, biscuits
- Eat More Lentils, beans or whole grains (brown rice, quinoa)
- Eat more vegetables such as broccoli, spinach, kale, green beans, sweet potatoes
- Eat at least 3 pieces of fruit per day such as apples, bananas, oranges, berries, melon, etc
- Drink 6-8 glasses of water daily. Limit juice and soda consumption
- Avoid fried foods
- Avoid processed foods and meats, foods with chemical additives, and artificial flavors
- Avoid caffeine after 4 PM
